The PathfinderCore PRO external authentication license allows Pathfinder to authenticate users via industry standard LDAP authentication servers including Microsoft Active Directory. User roles may be created in Pathfinder and associated with groups in an ldap server to control access rights. A network administrator may then easily control who has access to Pathfinder resources by assigning users to the groups in the LDAP authentication system. When a user attempts to log in to Pathfinder web pages the authentication request is sent to the ldap server for verification and authorization.
