"Why does that microphone have fur?"
You've probably seen it before, the Deadcat, a piece of fluff attached to the end of a boom pole. This is a WindJammer, also called DeadCat. The deadcat is desgined to provide better protection form both wind noise and plosive sounds while remaining acoustically transperent.

The WindJammers are offered with silver gray synthetic furr combined with a heart made of SchulzFoam to get the best protection against wind, storm or heavy rain situation while soundquality keeps up.
