Z/IPstream X/20 is an all-in-one streaming audio software encoder and processing platform for Windows PCs and servers. Featuring Adaptive Streaming capability, X/20 supports Apple HLS and Microsoft Smooth Streaming formats, allowing media players to automatically adapt to changing network conditions by encoding at multiple bitrates. Sample-aligned output streams enable listeners media players to seamlessly switch between bitrates in response to Internet conditions. A number of popular encoding formats including MP3, AAC-LC, HE-AAC, HE-AAC v2, and xHE-AAC are supported. Simultaneous MP3/AAC/aacPlus encoding is compatible with Shoutcast, Icecast, Wowza, and RTMP servers. By feeding dual X/20 instances with properly timestamped audio, bit-identical streams can be generated, providing robust stream reliability. E-mail and SNMP status notifications keep engineers informed of warnings and errors.X/20 is licensed on a per-program input basis. A base license includes effective and proven Omnia 3-band processing. More advanced processing options include Omnia Forza and Omnia.9 algorithms. License support options for Kantar and Nielsen allow each input stream to be separately watermarked. The Déjà Vu option provides stereo upmixing to 5.1-channel MPEG-Surround, supported by most player apps.
